I am an American/Australian Permanent Resident, living in Sydney, Australia. This fact explains why my postings include a mix of American and Australian grammar. To my American friends: No, I am not spelling ‘realise’ incorrectly.
I am a business professional by trade, randomly a statistician, a computer scientist by instruction, and a mathematician by Divine Powers.
Over the past year I have read an incredible amount of books on productivity, focus, goal setting, and general self-improvement. How2Bproductive.com is the result of gaining much knowledge and wanting to share it with others, in the hope that others will learn to work better, smarter, and faster.
I’ve enjoyed running since I was a kid and still do. I attribute much of my high level of energy to a regular running routine. Running puts me into ‘diffused thinking’ mode where some of my best neural connections have been made.
Currently I am working towards a Graduate Certification in Computer Science from the University of New South Wales (UNSW). When I am not blogging, working, running, or sleeping, there is a good chance I am coding. I am particularly interested in Machine Learning algorithms and big data analytics and their applications to spatial statistics (or vice-versa!). As I delve more into the discipline of computer science, I find myself becoming more attracted to the algorithm theory side. We’ll see where it goes.
I’m 37 years old and I have yet to outgrow Nintendo games. Somehow I have learned to simultaneously live an incredibly productive lifestyle and enjoy the latest Super Mario Brothers or Legend of Zelda title.
